On November 27th, Ever’s CEO, Bhanusich (Plan) Chomanan, and Chief of Staff, Pira (Pip) Srivikorn, traveled to Timor-Leste as part of the Borneo Corporation delegation. The delegation included esteemed figures such as Tan Sri Anifah Aman (former Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs), Dr. Nasir Latif (CEO and Chairman of Farmfresh Group), Mr. Sohail Quareshi (President of Borneo Corporation), Datuk Khawaja Salaman Younis (CFO of Borneo Corporation and founder of Kuwait Finance House), Kyle Hong (CEO of Alcove Investment Management), and His Excellency Abel Guterres (Ambassador of Timor-Leste to Brunei). The purpose of this visit was to explore opportunities to establish sustainable food supply and healthcare infrastructure for the country.
During the visit, the delegation was honored to be received by the President of Timor-Leste, Mr. José Ramos-Horta, and Ms. Veneranda Lemos Martins, President of Baucau Municipality. Over five days, Ever’s team gained invaluable insight into the country's journey to independence and the government’s ambitious plans for the future. A key focus of discussions was the need to build robust healthcare infrastructure from the ground up. Ever shared successful use cases from Thailand, demonstrating how its technology has improved healthcare accessibility. Ms. Veneranda recognized the potential of Ever’s solutions and proposed Baucau Province as the pilot location for a proof-of-concept project.
Beyond healthcare, the delegation also explored the potential to implement a free school meal program similar to Indonesia’s, with Ever serving as the healthcare partner responsible for tracking and analyzing the program’s outcomes. This initiative could significantly enhance child nutrition and well-being while reinforcing the importance of data-driven decision-making in public health policy.
Ever is excited to see how its technology can contribute to the accessibility and quality of healthcare in Timor-Leste. With strong local support and collaboration, this initiative has the potential to create meaningful and lasting impact in the region.
